Privacy
What we collect, in plain words
Short version: these public pages count visits anonymously and set no cookies. The application stores what you put into it so that it is there on your other devices, and you can take it out or delete it whenever you like.
These pages
This site uses Plausible Analytics to count page views. It is a privacy-first analytics service: it does not use cookies, does not follow you between sites, and does not collect anything that identifies you personally. What it records is the page, the referring site, the country, and the general type of device — aggregated, never individual.
These pages carry no advertising and no social media trackers. Two scripts run on them: the analytics tag above, and a beacon that Cloudflare — the service that puts this site in front of you — adds to its pages automatically. Cloudflare’s counts what it served and to roughly where; it is not something this site chose, and neither one knows who you are.
The fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font provider, so reading a page does not announce you to anybody.
If this site ever carries advertising, that will be stated here before it happens, along with what the advertising network can see.
The application
The tracker needs an account, and an account means an email address. Everything else is what you type in: your projects, your queries and submissions, your notes, your reminders, and your profile.
Where it lives. In a hosted database (Supabase), under your account, with access rules that keep one account’s private records out of every other account.
What other writers can see. Only what you choose to publish on your public card, plus the shared directory entries anyone can edit. Your private notes, your tiers and your contact details for an agent are never shared.
What your browser keeps. A local copy, so the app works when you are offline and nothing is lost if your connection drops. That copy is cleared when your session ends — including when your session expires or you sign out in another tab, not only when you press the button. The single exception is work that never reached the server: if a change could not be saved, it stays on that machine until it is saved or you throw it away, because deleting it would be deleting the only copy.
Analytics inside the app. The same anonymous page counting described above, plus anonymous error reports when something breaks, so it can be fixed.
What is never done
Your manuscripts, notes and lists are not sold, rented, or shared with anybody.
Your email address is not sold or added to a marketing list you did not ask for.
Nothing you write is used to train an AI model.
Getting it out, and getting rid of it
Everything you have put in can be exported as a spreadsheet or a full backup file from inside the app, at any time, without asking anybody. Deleting your account deletes your records with it. If something is stuck, write to [email protected] and it will be sorted out by a person.
Children
This is a tool for people submitting work professionally and is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
Changes
When this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it and the change is described here rather than folded in silently.
